Why Cricut Joy Xtra is a Better Choice over the Cricut Joy

A couple years ago I purchased the Cricut Joy machine. I must confess that I did not do my research before buying the Joy and ended up with a machine that did not do the main thing I purchased it for. I purchased the Joy thinking that I was going to be able to make stickers and cut them out with the Joy. I was wrong. Despite the many attempts and YouTube video watching I never got my Joy to cut out the stickers perfectly every time. Sometimes if I was lucky half of the sticker sheet got cut correctly while the others did not.

Fast forward to 2024 and I recently purchased the Cricut Joy Xtra. It was love at first use. It does what Cricut Joy does but in a bigger size allowing me to make huge piñatas with less cuts and less effort. And most importantly it is meant and designed to make stickers. It comes with sensors that will help you get perfect cut stickers each and every time since those magnificent sensors help the Joy Xtra know where to cut. All you need to do is calibrate the machine before you start cutting stickers for the first time and that is all. Do not panic it is a very simple process and Cricut makes it easy by taking you step by step through the whole process.

I was so excited because I love making stickers for personal use and also from art I find on Pinterest. With that said I can make them regular, holographic, and/or waterproof. I will be sharing some of my Amazon finds that have helped me level up and make nice stickers with Cricut Joy Xtra. On top of those two of my favorite projects I also love ironing on nice art on my shirts and bags. And the Cricut Joy Xtra has allowed me to do large iron on art on my clothes and accessories.

All in all I think it is a better option than the Cricut Joy since it allows users to cut stickers perfectly, allows for bigger more ambitious projects since it is twice as long, and even though it is almost twice the price of the regular Joy it will not dissapoint users since it will make larger than mat projects way easier and faster to make. I will make a tutorial on how to make huge 3 feet piñatas later on with the Cricut Joy Xtra. As well as how I make stickers using art from Pinterest for personal use. I will also share good and bad amazon finds for iron on projects. Till next time. Take care and let your creativity shine.
