Preview of Cinnamoroll/ Mother's Day Party

When I was shopping on Temu I came across this really cute Cinnamoroll birthday poster. Right away I knew that this poster was going to be the inspiration for a party I wanted to have.

There are two options to start with. Will the guests sit in a regular table with chairs, a picnic table with benches or will it be a sit on the ground kind of party. I am thinking a sit on the ground kind of party simply because in the poster Cinnamoroll is surrounded by some cute floor cushions in aqua blue, yellow, and pink. The big question here is if I will be able to recreate this nice pillows. I am crafty and a sewer but I have never sewn these kinds of pillows before. The round ones have some sort of trim around them while the other squared one has tassels and trim. We shall see.

We also need stripes. So how many yards will I need of this pink striped fabric. Will it be a table cover, a statement piece hanging on the ceiling, or will it be used as part of a photo taking installation I have in mind. Or the stripes can be linen fabric napkins as well.

Balloons are a must. I need to find some white, aqua blue, white and aqua blue striped balloons, and strawberry balloons to match the vibe. I also am going to make a fabric or paper banner like the one in the poster all the way on top that have pink, stripes, and polka dots.

If I plan to host this party for Mother's Day I need 3 golden crowns like the one Cinnamoroll is proudly wearing for the 3 moms in my life. A cape like the one Cinnamoroll is wearing would also be great but if I make one only my mom would get to wear it that day.

Now I know that Cinnamoroll is holding a bouquet of flowers. Since I am not an expert in flowers I am going to use roses as the flowers. I am pretty sure it is probably some other kind of flower but I think roses will fit the theme just fine. I was thinking of DIYing the roses out of crepe paper and having about two arrangements of paper roses per table. But it might be too late and I might have to purchase real roses or artificial roses from my local arts and crafts store.

Presents are also very important I was planning to DIY some giant presents out of foam board and poster paper so that they could just be placed around the backyard or in the photo installation I have talked about before. Second option is to have a lot of regular size presents on the table in the center. Which might mean I could make huge roses out of paper and have them in the photo taking installation or just have them spread around the backyard.

The 3 tier dessert tray is something I am scared about since there are Cinnamoroll desserts placed on it. And the cake has many different versions of Cinnamoroll that honestly I am not sure I can recreate either. That leaves a question in the air? Will this party really be Cinnamoroll themed or will it just be a regular Mother's Day party? Is it a Cinnamoroll party if there are only Cinnamoroll piñatas? I honestly might be thinking this might no longer be a Cinnamoroll party after all. It might just be a cute Mother's Day party with pink, yellow, white, blue, stripes, polka dots, roses, presents, cushions, crowns, and delicious pastry filled 3 tier dessert trays.

Well whichever it ends up being in the end I think it will be really pretty at the end of the day and I can always end up throwing a Cinnamoroll party in the future.
