Breakfast and Pizza near and in Lake Arrowhead
When doing research about where to eat near and in Lake Arrowhead two places popped out the most. The first was Belgian Waffle Works and the second was LouEddie’s. So we decided to eat at these two places when visiting Lake Arrowhead. We were curious to find out why these two restaurants were so popular.
We decided to eat breakfast at Belgian Waffle Works and right away I was impressed and excited about the menu selection. Obviously their main thing is waffles so they focus their menu on many types of waffles. They offer many sweet waffles such as caramel apple waffles, Belgian s’more and banana cream Belgian Waffles. To my surprise they also offered two savory options such as Benedict Belgian and Brussels Belgian which has Swiss cheese, turkey and ham. They also offered sandwiches, burgers and breakfast specials. Despite my heart wanting to try all the delicious sweet waffles with ice cream I decided to get something else that caught my eye. I decided to get the Belgian scrambled which is an omelette with lots of veggies served with guacamole, pico de gallo, sour cream, country potatoes and toast with jelly. My drink of choice was a delicious warm cup of hot chocolate topped with whipped cream and sprinkles. It was so good that me and my nephew swore we would be back just to get another cup. I thought breakfast was really good and so did my nephew which happened to get their very popular chicken and waffles. On the other hand the rest of the family said they prefer breakfast at Dennys and thought the food was ok. Since we ate outside to enjoy the lake our food did get cold quickly and some of my family members did not get a refill on their cup of Joe. Despite some things I give this restaurant a 4 out of 5 and despite my family not liking it as much as I did I would have to recommend visiting this diner. It was a good first time experience for me. The view is great, the menu and options are really good, and it was affordable. The customer service was good and that hot chocolate was excellent.
Lou Eddie’s ok where do I even start. It is lovely, the pizzas are delicious and the people are extremely friendly and give great customer service. They have so many options of toppings and offer many different pizzas on their menu. We decided to get the Marguerite pizza which was honestly 5 out of 5 and the LouEddie’s special which was a 4 out of 5 for me. Definitely a 5 out of 5 and would extremely recommend if you are close by or if you are simply craving a great slice of pizza.
